Description:OakView is currently seeking an Assistant Dietary Supervisor for the Health Center who will be responsible in assisting the Dietary Manager with the supervision and coordination of daily activities in the department, prepare menus for distribution including processing diet changes, identify menus with dietary restrictions and plan meals accordingly, and communicate with residents, family members, other departments and dietary staff in an effective manner.

Essential duties and responsibilities: Assist the Dietary Manager as assigned; Monitors and reports any safety, sanitation, or food handling concerns. Take immediate action when appropriate; Maintain high visibility in dining rooms during meal service. Address all dining related issues; Ensures that all dining room equipment and furnishing are maintained and in good working order; Assist in coordinating and overseeing special events, set up and breakdown; Supervise tray line for accuracy, time and temperature from food production; Maintain a meal tally system for the cooks from all menus from residents; Responsible for distribute/collect ?select menus? for residents; Assist in maintaining individual diet information from nursing communication form to cardex/Meal Tracker software; Assist in menu selection for residents unable to fill out their individual menu on a daily basis. Continue to review menu for resident acceptance. Report non-compliance of menu items to Dietary Manager as soon as possible; Conduct resident meal satisfaction food acceptance interviews; Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction for our residents and their guests.

Qualifications: Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in foodservice industry or one year in retirement community setting required; Must possess knowledge of therapeutic diets; Basic computer skills; Serv Safe certified desirable.
